How to Join Our Club
Potential new members are encouraged to come as a guest on trial walks with the club. You can look at the programmes of upcoming walks on the Weekday Walks page or the Weekend Walks page and choose a walk that appeals to you. Alternatively, we can suggest suitable walks based on your level of experience. The trial walks allow you to see how the walks are run, meet current members and maybe ask questions about the club that occur to you on the walk.
You can contact us by email at [email protected] to register your interest in coming on a trial walk or to ask any questions that you might have. We ask walkers to indicate their intention to participate in a walk in advance, either by the Thursday before a weekend walk, or the day before a weekday walk, to include them in the list of walkers.
Should you decide to join the club after taking part in trial walks, our annual membership includes membership of Mountaineering Scotland and is currently only £30 a year. If you are already a member of Mountaineering Scotland by personal membership or membership of another club affiliated to Mountaineering Scotland, the annual subscription is £10. If you join part way through the club year which runs April to March, you will pay a reduced rate for the Mountaineering Scotland component of the fee based on a sliding scale depending when in the year you join as shown on the Mountaineering Scotland website at https://www.mountaineering.scot/clubs/member-benefits-for-clubs/club-subscriptions
