Walk Reports 2023
1st March - Newtyle
Our first walk of Spring 2023 was to the hills round Newburgh taking in Black Cairn, McDuff's Cross and Lochmill Loch. It was a coat on, off and back on again day as the weather alternated between sunshine and cold winds but we were rewarded with magnificent views along the Tay and beyond. There wasn't much evidence of the hill fort on Black Cairn due to the amount of gorse and other vegetaion but we did see the golf club that adorns the cairn on the hill!

25th February - Fife
Our last walk of the winter season was to Black Craig and Norman's Law. A good day for walking but windy and cold on the top of the hill. Looking forward now to Spring. We're very fortunate to have such wonderful landscape within a 30 minute car journey.

12th February - Glen Moy
We couldn't wish for a better day in mid February for our first visit this year to the Angus Glens. The conditions were ideal for this walk in Glen Moy with views across Glen Clova and Glen Doll to Loch Brandy.

28th January - Perth
We had wonderful winter sunshine for this walk up Kinnoull hill and round Deuchny Wood, Coronation Road and Milkboys Walk. The views from the top of the hill were superb in the winter light with no haze to spoil the outlook.

19th January - Monikie
When the map shows that a wood is there, passing Pitairlie Moor plantation on our first weekday walk of the year. We got back into the swing of our weekday walks with a local trek on the tracks and paths around Monikie and Newbigging.

15th January - Montrose
We had a good turn out for our first walk of the year and the chance to get the legs back in action after the festive period. This has become our traditional first walk of the year from Montrose to the river South Earn. We had to do the route in reverse due to high tide when we started but that gave us the opportunity to have lunch on the beach in glorious sunshine.
